About Dr. Young
Dr. Randal Young was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Olympus High School and went on to get his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah in Geography and Pre-Medicine. He also spent two years in Mexico on a mission during that time period. He attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and following his graduation attended a Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency Program in Salt Lake City. Dr. Young has worked since then in several large clinics and in private practice and most recently worked for the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics as an Adjunct Clinical Professor. He left the University in 2008 to pursue private practice at the Pioneer Valley Hospital Medical Arts Building. He is Board Certifed in Podiatric Surgery and is a member of both the Utah and American Podiatric Medical Associations.
Dr. Young's professional interests include Diabetic Foot Care, Children and Adult reconstructive foot surgery and Fracture and Trauma Care.
Dr. Young has two grown children and enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys traveling, golf, and hiking in the mountains around Salt Lake City, He plays the viola and has played in the Salt Lake Symphony. He is an avid oil painter as well and loves landscapes. Two of his favorite painters are Van Gogh and famed Utah artist LeConte Stewart.
